Get to know me and our quick story behind Lynnlashes Beauty Studio
Hello friends,
To start off, my name is Elaine Ian (I also go by my middle name, Lynn) and I am the founder and beauty guru behind Lynnlashes Beauty Studio.
From a young age, I carried a special interest for visual arts and a love for the world of makeup and the beauty industry.
After graduating from university in Toronto, I worked full time as an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant for almost 5 years, being a right-hand woman handing surgical tools to an eye surgeon in the operating room. While working full time of 40+ hours per week, my desire to becoming my own boss and creating my own work schedule grew more and more. In March 2018, I enrolled in a professional makeup artist college program at College of Makeup, Art, & Design (North America’s leading Professional Makeup College) to learn from some of the most talented makeup artists. This is where the journey of Lynnlashes Beauty Studio began. I took the opportunity to expand my services, and became certified 4 times by well known lash extensions and PMU artists. In September 2019, I officially moved into our first Lynnlashes Beauty Studio commercial unit! I never would of thought this day would come so soon. All of this wouldn’t of been possible without the endless support from everyone, especially for keeping my schedule super busy! I want to thank every single one of you babes from the bottom of my heart.
Working full time at the eye clinic and full time at the studio kept my entire week’s schedule busy, and it was clear where I had my mind focused on: the studio. It was pretty cool at the time because both my full time jobs require precise care of the eyes in the operating room and in the studio. After thousands of hours used to perfect the perfect lash and brow sets, I finally decided to resign from my eye clinic job at the end of 2020, so I can focus on refining my craft even more.
I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love everyday— and there’s not a single day I regret letting my office job go to pursue my passion in the beauty industry.
